I guess I’m one of the lucky few that got an Hasselblad as a gift.
When my grandfather, who used to be an amazing photographer during his working career, saw that I was taking this photography thing pretty serious he decided to give his workhorse to me.
I treat it like glass, and try to take every picture with the most concentration I can, but at the end of the day I need to make use of it. That’s why I started this new project: Hasselblad Stories.
One friend, one location, one roll of film. Taking the time for every picture that this vintage camera needs. With the hopes that results are just as the process; intimate, pure and straight-up.
In the first series I shoot Nigel van der Horst. A friend with the huge set of skills ranging from cooking to photographing to being an amazing athlete to a high-end socialite. Both new in this process we just jumped right in and went for the best.
I present to you: Hasselblad Stories with Nigel van der Horst.
